CSR is corporate social responsibility. Being socially responsible means investing in human resources, environmental protection, relationships with the company's surroundings and reporting on these activities, which contributes to the enterprise's competitiveness and conditions for sustainable social and economic development.
On 28 October 2010, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), after more than 5 years of work by a group of experts from 99 countries, published the ISO 26000 standard. It is not certifiable — it is a practical guide to responsible business principles, regardless of the size or location of the organisation, and distinguishes 4 CSR areas:
Organisational governance and community engagement
Human rights and labour relations
Environment
Fair market practices and consumer relations
It is up to you to choose the CSR tools most suitable for your company.
